The Cricket day 6th May 2007 The fisho's V the rest of the world It is a great family day down at Prince Edward Park it starts about 10.30am and finishes when it is too dark and sometime's later , Bruce Powney turns up early to mow the pitch, Rallies the rest of the world team together and that usually consists of any fisho who hasn't weighed a fish in by the date of the Cricket day, it's one day of the year that Bruce thinks he has a lot of friend's, "were only kidding Bruce". The fisho's put on a BBQ for all and soft drinks for the junior's, Mum's Dad's and Kid's all have a go at batting and bowling and all have a good laugh, we thank Les Stewart super veteran of the fishing club for umpiring the game you won't get him Bruce, by the way Les you aren't suppose to try to call the game off because Happy hour has started at the RSL club. It's a day you have to be at to appreciate it's such a laugh. A special mention to Bruce Stone with his helmet and goggles, I am still unsure what he looked like and I only had one beer, it was a great day.
